First visits that don't create lifelong fear.
Most adults who fear the dentist trace it back to one bad childhood experience. We work hard to make sure that never happens at our clinic. Children's appointments at Aditya Dental Clinic are slower, gentler, and built around winning the child's trust before any instrument comes near them.
From first dental visits and milk-teeth cavities to fluoride protection and thumb-sucking habits, we look after the complete dental health of children across Aurangabad — and we make it something they don't dread.
"They'll fall out anyway" is the most expensive myth in children's dentistry. Milk teeth hold space for the permanent teeth developing underneath. A milk tooth lost too early to decay lets neighbouring teeth drift into the gap — and the permanent tooth then erupts crooked, often needing braces later. Treating a small cavity in a milk tooth today can prevent years of orthodontic treatment tomorrow.
Decay also spreads faster in milk teeth because their enamel is thinner. A small black spot can reach the nerve within months, turning a five-minute filling into a painful infection.
Our children's services include first dental check-ups (ideally by the first birthday), tooth-coloured fillings for cavities, fluoride application to strengthen enamel, pit-and-fissure sealants that protect the chewing surfaces of new molars, gentle removal of over-retained milk teeth, and counselling for thumb-sucking, mouth-breathing and night-grinding habits.
Every visit ends with practical guidance for parents: how to brush a toddler's teeth, what snacks actually cause decay (hint: it's frequency of sugar, not quantity), and when to start toothpaste with fluoride.
We use the tell-show-do method: explain in a child's words, show the instrument working on a finger, then treat. First visits are often just a ride in the chair and a mirror count of teeth — no treatment at all. Children who start this way walk into later visits without fear, and that attitude towards dental care lasts a lifetime.
Cavity prevention is nine-tenths home habits, and the rules are simpler than most parents expect. Rule one: frequency beats quantity. A child who eats a whole chocolate after lunch does less damage than one who nibbles biscuits and sips sweet drinks across the afternoon — every sugar exposure restarts a twenty-minute acid attack on enamel. Corral sweets into mealtimes.
Rule two: brush at the right times with the right amount. Twice daily, and the night brushing is non-negotiable — saliva flow drops during sleep, leaving teeth undefended. Use fluoride toothpaste: a rice-grain smear under age three, a pea-sized amount after. Rule three: parents brush or supervise until about age eight; before that, children simply lack the hand control to clean properly, however enthusiastic they look. And rule four, the one most often missed: no bottle of milk or juice in the bed. 'Bottle caries' — rampant decay of the upper front teeth — is entirely preventable and heartbreakingly common.
Six months to one year: first teeth erupt; wipe them with a clean cloth, and book the first friendly dental visit by the first birthday. Ages two to five: all twenty milk teeth are in; watch for black or brown spots, and address thumb-sucking gently if it persists past age four. Ages six to eight: the first permanent molars erupt behind the milk teeth — parents often miss them because no tooth falls out first. These molars do forty years of chewing; fissure sealants applied now are their best insurance.
Ages eight to twelve: the mixed-dentition years, when crowding, crossbites and habits show themselves — the ideal window for an orthodontic assessment, because guiding a growing jaw is far easier than correcting a finished one. Ages twelve onwards: the full permanent set (minus wisdom teeth) is in place, and habits formed now — brushing, snacking, sports mouthguards — set the trajectory for adult dental health. At every one of these stages, a short check-up at our Aurangabad clinic keeps you ahead of problems instead of behind them.

By their first birthday, or within six months of the first tooth erupting. Early visits are quick, friendly check-ups that catch problems early and build comfort with the clinic.
Yes. Untreated milk-tooth decay causes pain and infection, and losing a milk tooth early often leads to crooked permanent teeth. A small filling now prevents much bigger problems later.
Most children stop on their own by age 4. Beyond that, it can push teeth outward and affect jaw growth. We offer gentle habit-counselling techniques, and simple habit-breaking appliances when needed.
Yes — professionally applied fluoride in correct doses is safe and highly effective at preventing cavities. We use age-appropriate amounts and guide parents on the right toothpaste quantity for home use.
Slowly and on the child's terms. The first visit may be nothing but a chair ride, a mirror count and a sticker. We use tell-show-do, never restrain or rush, and involve the parent throughout. Most fearful children are treating comfortably within two or three visits — and the fear rarely returns.
Sealants are thin protective coatings flowed into the deep grooves of the permanent molars — the grooves where most childhood cavities start. Applied around ages 6–8 and 11–13 when the molars erupt, they take minutes, involve no drilling, and are among the most cost-effective preventive treatments in dentistry.
Typically from age 6, starting with the lower front teeth, continuing until about 12. Wobbly teeth falling naturally is ideal. See us if a milk tooth is loose from injury rather than age, if the permanent tooth erupts behind a milk tooth still in place, or if a milk tooth is lost early to decay — a space maintainer may prevent future crowding.
